Lee Jae-hyun hit double-digit home runs for two consecutive years starting in 2023. He set a new personal record with 14 home runs last year. Lee Jae-hyun, who combined his solid defense and long hit production capabilities, made improving accuracy a top priority. "I concluded that the most lacking part for the past three years is improving accuracy," he said. 

Lee Jae-hyun has been misunderstood as having a strong desire to produce long balls. "Some point out that Lee Jae-hyun has a big swing, but that's not the case. Lee Jae-hyun is not conscious of big swings or home runs," Lee Jin-young, the batting coach, said. "Because of the late timing, the swing seems to be big because the front arm cannot be stretched properly." 

Under coach Lee Jin-young's intensive guidance, Lee Jae-hyun started to erase his weaknesses. "I trained a lot to send the ball in a good direction and hit the center of the bat accurately," Lee Jae-hyun said. "When I was in a bad situation, my body often flipped over as the heating point went back, but I trained to put the heating point in front of me." 

Focusing on improving accuracy, he stressed, "If you hit the ball correctly on the bat, it will increase your batting average and increase your home runs. I don't want to miss both." 

He has been rising every year since his debut as a pro, but he is not satisfied with his performance. "People around me tell me that I'm getting better every year. But I haven't reached the highest level. If I don't improve from what I am now, I will be told that I will stagnate. I haven't set my goal for this season. I want to show better performance than last year," he said. 

Lee Jae-hyun is showing off his high-sensitivity batting average of .500 with five hits from 10 times at bat as of Tuesday. He has yet to taste it, but he hit one triple and two doubles. Both coach Park Jin-man and coach Lee Jin-young gave compliments to Lee. 

Coach Park Jin-man said, "Lee Jae-hyun swings to widen the surface of the bat when he hits the ball. The accuracy has increased that much," and coach Lee Jin-young said, "Lee Jae-hyun trained really hard during camp. There are still ups and downs, but I have high expectations that the batting average will increase." 

Lee Jae-hyun, a built-in shortstop for Samsung and an irreplaceable resource, is not complacent but constantly striving for higher positions. I am already excited about how much he will grow this season.
